I cant seem to contact Best Buy customer service regarding the refurbished TV i recieved as a gift from my (cheap)brother. I've had this tv for less than a year. there is audio, but completly black on the screen. All i want to know is if there is a way to find out what this tv was previously refurbished for. I'm just trying to see if it is worth it to pay to have it serviced, or if I just need to purchase a new one. Can someone from customer service please contact me. I've already contacted Samsung, and they suggested to contact where the tv was purchased from.

Sad to hear. Currently that TV retails for $450.
I would assume the TV is under manufacturers warrenty. I am surprised Samsung would not work with you unless the TV is more than year old then it is out of warrenty.
Sadly thought I would hazzard that the cost of getting it repaired would out weigh the cost of purchasing a new TV.

Hi ckv007,
That’s very kind of your brother to gift you a TV, but it’s discouraging to hear that it’s not working. It’s the thought that counts, right?
Refurbished TV information, or history of how it got that way isn’t the kind of information we’d have available to provide to you. At this point I’d recommend that it may be best to replace your TV due to the costs of a panel can pretty expensive.
Kindly,
