My daughter's dog chewed my surround sound power cord in half when we moved in. Can the repair shop replace the cord so I don't have to purchase a new surround sound. It's not very old.

You might actually be able to find a power cord for sale on the floor. I cant expect it being too much. But I would suggest taking the cord (as long as it's removable) into the store and asking if they sell additional or replacement ones. It's probably universal for other devices. I know power cords for cable boxes will work for some modems, PlayStations, printers, and my bose subwoofer. So it's very possible it's a universal power cord, as long as it can remove from the back.

All puppies ( or just dogs in general) go through a chewing phase. It’s sad to hear that your sound power cord was a victim this time around instead of the usual suspects like slippers, or toys.

The option jxs2 provided may be your only option you to remedy this issue. Please know that if a Geek Squad Protection Plan was purchased for the surround sound it doesn’t cover damage caused by contact with any human or animal bodily fluids. However, they may be able to assist you at cost for repair if the cord isn’t removable.

At this point in time a visit to your local Best Buy may be necessary to see what options are available to you. I’d recommend bring the cord with you if it’s removable, and it’s not both parts.
