Welcome to our Best Buy community forum! I know what an impact my receiver makes, so I can understand why you'd be concerned when your TV isn't recognizing your receiver.
Has it recognized the receiver in the past and just stopped working one day? If that's the case, I recommend checking the cords to see if something got disconnected.
Or, are you trying to set up the receiver and it's not recognizing it after the set-up? If that's what's going on, can you provide me with the model number for your TV and receiver so I can look into this deeper?

Thanks for sharing those details with me! It sounds like something with your Onkyo Receiver isn't hooked up to your TV correctly, as there are some very specific steps that could be having an impact on your receiver not connecting to your TV.
I recommend checking out page 12 in the Onkyo TX-SR373 Manual, as it has a diagram of the different inputs and goes over step-by-step what you'd need to do to ensure the receiver is set-up properly.
