I just boungt Insinia TV(NS-40D510NA) yesterday and am trying to getting sound from laptop by connecting TV to it with HDMI cable. The old TV has an audio jack for headphone and speaker for input audio but this one doesn't. So I am trying to get the sound only using HDMI cable but it doesn'w work. Video is OK to get from the laptop.
Do you have any instruction or manual in this case, please let me know.
Best,
KJ

Hey KJ,
Welcome to the forum! I'm assuming you're trying to mirror content from your laptop and have the sound play on your TV, rather than the other way around. If that's the case, you should be able to accomplish this using just the HDMI cable.
Depending on your laptop, you should be able to adjust the headphones/speaker setting from the laptop's internal speakers to HDMI. This looks different on every laptop, though, so it may take a few tries to figure out exactly where you can make that change. I'd recommend unplugging the headphone cable for now, since that could be affecting where your computer's sound is travelling to.
Let me know if you have any further questions and I'll be happy to assist however I can.
Warmly,
