When one changes input, i.e., from TV to DVD or back, the sound goes off and the TV must be turned off and reset!! Model OLED 65CTP.
When I called LG, they say remain patient and wait for a software fix--they are aware of the issue. They seem in no hurry to solve the problem on a $3400 TV!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your LG OLED TV issues with us! I’m sorry to hear that you’re having sound related issues when switching from sources. It’s equally discouraging to hear that LG didn’t offer some troubleshooting advice to you on this matter. I’d also like to apologize for my delayed response due to the holiday season we’ve busier than usual.
Can you please share how you have the TV connected to the different components? Do you have a soundbar, or another audio component connected? Personally, my TV is very finicky with how we even turn it off and on which primary affects our soundbar not syncing properly. I’m sorry that LG has advised you to wait for a software update. I took a peek, and I wasn’t able to locate a support listing for your model number. Can you please double check your model number? I’d be happy to double if a firmware update was recently rolled out for you!
