Hello, I love my new LG TV and paired sound bar but I have a small problem: Sometimes the TV On/Off button turns on the sound bar (good) but sometimes it does not (bad). Can anyone advise re. how to set things up so that turning on the TV always activates the sound bar and vice-versa when I switch the TV off? When the TV on/off switch does not activate the sound bar, I turn it on from its own remote and then I am prompted to re-pair the devices, which is fine but I do not understand why sometimes the TV on/off button turns on the sound bar and sometimes it doesn't. Turning the TV off almost always turns of the sound bar but turning it on does it only fifty per cent of the time. All advice will be much appreciated.

Hey there, BarryJI.
Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Best Buy Forums. If the TV and soundbar are paired wirelessly, then that could be some of the issues. The easiest way to make sure the TV and soundbar are hooked up properly is to hook the soundbar up via HDMI cable from the eARC HDMI port on the back of the TV. As long as the TV and soundbar are hooked up that way, and you have HDMI-CEC turned on in the settings, the two should be paired together and turn on and off at the same time. If that is currently how you have them hooked up, I would recommend reaching out to LG directly, as they have all of the necessary information and troubleshooting steps at their disposal. Their phone number is 1 (800) 243-0000 or you can chat with them on their website, or find other useful information.
