Hi all,

I just purchased a Samsung UN48J5201AFXZA LED Smart HDTV 48" that comes pre-loaded with some apps, but KODI is not one of them. Can it be installed as well?

Thanks

Quick Installation 1. On the SAMSUNG APPS screen, select Most Popular, What's new, or Categories. " Most Popular and What's new show the most popular and new Samsung apps, respectively. To view the entire app list by genre, select Categories. When the Categories screen appears, select a category icon to view the apps in that category. 2. Move the focus to an app, and then press and hold the E button. A pop-up menu appears. 3. On the pop-up menu, select Download. " Most apps are free to install. " While an app is being installed, the progress bar appears at the bottom of the app icon so that you can monitor the progress of the installation. 4. The selected app is installed on the TV. " You can view installed apps on the SAMSUNG APPS screen.

Thank you for the reply, but you did not specifically say if KODI is one of the apps you can choose from. Do you know if it is? I use it on my Amazon Fire Stick and really enjoy it.

Thanks again for replying!

Do you have an option for the GooglePlay store on your TV

If so I believe you should be able to install KODI from there

Thanks again, and not sure as I haven't received the TV yet(should get today). But even if I don't have the GooglePlay, KODI is already installed on my Amazon Fire TV stick so hopefully will transfer with no problem when I connect the stick.

Leaving you Kudos for your quick and helpful replies.

Thanks again!

There should be an option for your TV to hook it up direct to your router via Ethernet Cable. I would strongly recommend doing that as you will experience significnatly faster connections.

I have a ROKU and it sits about 8 inches from my router.  It was fast enough but still a noticable lag.  however, I hooked an ethernet cable up and it was a lot faster.
