Started happening a few days ago. Left it unplugged a couple of days, plugged it in yesterday and it worked fine for a day, during which I turned it off and on again several times without issue. Then today same problem. I read this is a backlight failure but it seems weird that it's so intermittent, especially on a tv with so few hours on it. It almost seems like the remote is putting it into sleep mode. I tried pairing another fire remote but it wouldn't pair. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Best Buy Forums!
Hi webbrewers. Thank you for taking the time to stop by our community forums. I understand your concerns about your TV not working correctly. If the remote could be the problem, then try changing the remote battery to see if that makes a difference.
If that does nothing try plugging the TV out for 1 minute and plugging it back in. Holding down the power button on your TV for 30 secs will also do a hard reset on the TV.
You can check all the cables connected to make sure they are connected properly, such as the HDMI cable. You may try using a different input and you also try using the cable on something else to make sure it works properly. If it does not then you might have to replace it.
If none of those troubleshoot options work, it may be due to an internal issue. This problem could be caused due to a number of reasons and the best option after that would be to have a technician come out to view the TV. They can determine the root cause.
