I went overboard Black Friday and picked up the following items online:
Sony 7.2 Model: STRDN1060
2x Klipsch Subs Model: R-10SW
2x Klipsch Reference Dual 6.5" Floor speakers Model: R-26F
Klipsch 5.25 center channel speaker Model: R-25C
--------------------
I forgot to pick up speaker cable. I need to know what gauge cable will give me optimal audio.
The R-26F will be positioned furthest, at 6-10 feet from the tv.

I LOVE home theater and have a lot of fun setting it up.
You have picked out a very sweet receiver and I love those Klipsch speakers.
Essentially for speaker wire it is better to have to big than to small.
At the top end 10AWG (American Wire Gague) is going to be desired for the VERY powerful systems. However it is a little hard to work with.
I would not go smaller than 16 gague.
For a flat out suggestion I would take a good hard look at
It is a high conductivity long grain copper at 14 AWG
One thing also that I feel is important. Your speaker wire should be the same length to each pair in your system.
Meaning the 2 front speakers, the 2 surrounds, and the 2 mids and your 2 subs.
For your subs check you user manual carefully. You may want 12 AWG.
Buy good quality wire, as long as the plastic coating on the outside remains undamaged the cabel inside will remain corrosion free and your cable will last a long long time.
And for your first movie pick something awesom.
Last recommendation. While attaching cables/wires etc, have everything unplugged. Your receiver and subs carry a lot of power.

Excellent and thanks for the fast response. I'll check out those cables and go from there!

And get a great movie for your first watch.
Recommened movies in Blu Ray are Hobbit Series, Guardians of the Galaxy. Those are all with 7.1
I have not taken the step to 7.1 yet but it should say on the movie if it is.

Will I need an audio cable for the subs? I'm guessing red and white?
The receiver is going to run my TV (Satellite) and Blu-Ray. No gaming device.

I guess it depends on the subs. My sub uses a specific single cable. similar to RCA's
