Direct TV now

I have an Insignia NS-RC02A-12 tv. I also have direct tv now. My Apple TV is too old to download the direct tv now app. What do you suggest I purchase to stream movies from Direct TV now? Roku? Amazon Fire? Which devices are compatable with my TV?

Re: Direct TV now

I would suggest a Google Chromecast.

You can use it to CAST internet content, including Direct TV Now.

You use your phone or a tablet as the remote.  Check the requriements first becuase the operating system has to be new enough.

We cast to our chromcast via a 7 year old iPad.

Re: Direct TV now

Upgrading your streaming devices can surely be a hefty choice! I’m sorry to hear that your Apple TV isn’t able to download the Direct TV application. I’d be happy to point you in the correct direction.

Do you use the iTunes movies features on your Apple TV? If you do purchasing a new Apple TV may be the best option for you. A Chromecast, or Amazon Fire TV stick would be the most cost effective if you’re looking to keep your existing Apple TV. I took a peek into your purchase history to see I could locate which Insignia TV you purchased as the model number you provided doesn’t appear to be pulling up a TV on my end. While doing so I noticed that you decided on a Roku Stick yesterday! I hope you’re enjoying it.
