Dark Picture on Sony - 75" Class - LED - X900E Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV

I purchased Sony - 75" Class - LED - X900E Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR in June 2017. It was installed and calibrated by Best Buy/Magnolia. Last Thursday. I installed the latest software update. Ever since my picture is very dark. the setting is on max brightness. The left and right side of the screen are very dark.

Calibrations are always a great idea to get the best picture your TV can offer! I’m sorry to hear that a recent update pushed out by Sony has messed up your picture a bit. I’d be happy to offer some advice for you.

 

Have you attempted to reset your TV back to factory settings? This shouldn’t mess up any selections that our Imaging Science Foundation certified agents may have set internally in your TV with their special tools. It will, however, change any settings that may have been selected in the User Menu that you can access. Please let us know if that factory reset didn’t resolve your issue completely, and we’d be happy to do some more digging for you on this for you.
