Hi,
It seems they do not show the constrast ratio's on the specs of late?
I was wondering what the constast ratio is on the UN70KU6300FXZA?
It seems like a pretty good tv for middle of the road?
thanks Bruce

Contrast ratio is important when purchasing a new TV. However, I think an issue with it has been that there has never been a standard for determining how to calculate the contrast ratio on a TV.
For those who are not familiar with what the term means it is a ratio between the whitest white and the blackest black.
for me when I have looked at TV's one the best ways to tell is to use a test pattern that has the ROYGBIV and a pure black and a pure white.
Sadly one cannot get stores to put that up. So I like to stand back and if all the TV's are running the same video it is quite easy to compare the whites to the blacks. My plasma has a very high contrast ratio and I really enjoy the vibrant colors.
Using that simple method I can dismiss many TV's from those I would purchase.
However the contrast ratio of the KU6300 series TV's 3,208:1
