We finally had to replace the little old TV we had in the kitchen. We went with the 24" Insignia (model NS-24F202NA22). Unfortunately to get a decent quality image I had to go with the "smart" version.
I won't go into the fact that elderly people must just not watch TV anymore thanks to the fact these things, even a smaller TV like this one, is basically like having a computer instead of a TV. My 80 year old father could NEVER set it up on his own. I'm computer savvy and even I got fustrated...
ANYHOO, can someone PLEASE let me know how to SHUT OFF THE SLEEP TIMER??? The only setting I can find is setting the time to 240 minutes. There IS NO OFF! Yesterday we had the TV on longer than that and it shut off... AND IT WOULD NOT GO ON AGAIN! The power button on the TV itself, on the remote, all the buttons I could think of... NOTHING would get it to go on again. I checked all of the cables, no dice. I finally had to unplug it from the outlet and pray all of my settings wouldn't dissapear!
My father was all confused. He wouldn't have been able to figure that out on his own. This is the second time it has happened and I can't believe there is no option to disable the sleep timer.

The manual mentions this:
Make sure that the sleep timer is not turned on. Press and hold Home until the
Quick Settings menu opens. Select Sleep Timer, then change the setting to Off.
