I just purchased today the sharp lc-37d44u. I pluged it in turned it on and it went to the language select screen like you expect it to then 3 seconds later the screen turns off and the power button blinks green continuously. Its still sucking juice according to my monster hts 5100 power center. I even tried directly pluggin it into the wall to see if it was some kind of power issue.

I left it unplugged for 30 minutes during dinner came back tried again and same issue. While the light is blinking green you have to press the power button once then again and hold down to actually turn the tv off.

Any idea on if this is fixable?

If not does bestbuy take returns/exchanges on the 27th of December?

Although our U.S. stores may only decline returns/exchanges the day after Thanksgiving, the same may not be true of their Canadian counterparts. Boxing Day isn’t celebrated within the United States, so I'd strongly suggest contacting Best Buy Canada at 1-866-BEST-BUY (1-866-237-8289) for more information on your repair and return options.
