Awful fuzzy, crackling audio from new Toshiba Fire TV

I bought this fire TV a month ago for my boyfriend and the sound quality is just awful. Even with the volume at 7, for example, it sounds crackly and fuzzy. Its so bad that we can't use it but I cannot return it anymore. Please help! For reference, the model number is 43LF711U20.

Have you reset the TV back to the factory settings? Or have you thought about investing in a sound bar? Most times the internal speakers of TV may not meet the needs of the user regardless of the brand. Also check to see if your cable/sattelite connection is very tight both at the tv and at the wall.
