Me: first-time poster, older guy, not tech-savvy, so please be kind ... 1. What is the difference between the (discontinued/clearance) RF-SBM101 and the newer RF-SBM102 soundbar mounts? 2. Will the SBM101 soundbar mount work with my wall-mounted 65-inch Toshiba TV (with full-motion mount RF-HTLF23) and my LG SL4Y soundbar (which weights only about 5 lbs)? Or do I need the SBM102? 3. Other than Rocketfish, which I know is a Best Buy brand, is there a better soundbar mount for my purposes (maybe Sanus)? I would like to spend less than $40.00. The SBM102 is $50.00 at my local Best Buy. Thanks!

Welcome to our community. That's a great question!

The RF-SBM102 is a more robust mounting system, that can hold up to 20 pounds, whereas the RF-SBM101 only holds 15 pounds. The trade-off is that the more robust system is larger and bulkier.

For your needs, I think the smaller mount should work just fine. Since it's a relatively small soundbar, you won't need the extra capability, and it may even look nicer.

If you're considering a different brand, please check in at your local Best Buy for some advice on if another model may work better fro you.
