1: How do I setup my Rocketboost Wireless Headphones?

1.     Install supplied  headphone rechargeable AA batteries:

a.     With the earpiece cushion facing you, unlock and remove the cushions by slightly rotating the left cushion clockwise and the right cushion counterclockwise, then pulling them away from the headphones.

b.    Insert one AA rechargeable battery into each battery compartment. Make sure to align the + and – symbols on the batteries with the symbols in the battery compartments.

c.     Put the left and right cushions back into place.

Note: Before using the wireless headphones for the first time, make sure the batteries are fully charged for at least 16 hours. This will provide a longer operating lifetime for the batteries. For more information on charging your headphones refer to Question 10 on page 5.

2.     Connect the docking station to your audio source (i.e., A/V receiver, MP3 player, etc.):

o    Using the supplied RCA audio cable, connect the audio output jacks of your audio source to the AUX INPUT jacks of the docking station. Match white to white and red to red.

o    Note: If your audio source only has a 3.5mm “phones” or “line out” jack, use the supplied 3.5mm-to-RCA adapter cable.

3.     Connect the AC adapter to the docking station:

a.     Connect the AC adapter connector to the docking station’s DC IN jack.

b.    Connect the AC adapter plug to an AC power outlet. The STANDBY indicator lights red steadily when the docking station is set to disable hub status and blinks red slowly when the docking station is set to enable hub status.

4.     Turn on your system:

a.     Slide the POWER switch on the left earpiece of headphones to ON.

§  The power indicator lights steadily blue.

Note: If the power indicator does not light steadily blue see Question 7 on page 4 for more information about the headphone power indicator.

b.    If this is your only Rocketboost wireless product, slide the HUB switch on the docking station to ENABLE. (If you have other Rocketboost products, only one device in your network can have the HUB switch set to ENABLE, see Question 4 on page 3 for further information.)

c.     Press the POWER button on the docking station.

§  The power indicator lights steadily green.

Note: The headphones and docking station were paired at the factory. When an active link is established between them or with another Rocketboost device, the power indicator on the headphones and docking station both light steadily.

o    If the power indicators on the headphones and docking station continue to blink after 30 seconds, they are no longer connected to each other. For more information on establishing a connection between the docking station or another hub and the headphones refer to Question 3 on page 2 or Question 4 on page 3.

2: My audio source (i.e., A/V receiver, MP3 player, etc.) only has one audio output and I want to connect it to both the docking station and another component (i.e., an audio amplifier).

    • You can connect your audio source (i.e., A/V receiver, MP3 player, etc.) to another component (i.e., an audio amplifier) through the docking station. To do so, follow the steps below.

2.     Connect the docking station to your amplifier:

o    Using a second RCA audio cable (not supplied) connect the AUX OUTPUT jacks of the docking station to the audio input jacks on your audio amplifier or other audio component. Match white to white and red to red.

5: My Rocketboost devices will not pair.

    • Make sure there is only one hub device in the Rocketboost network. The existing hub device is the one with the green power indicator. Make sure all other sender and sender/receiver devices are set to DISABLE HUB or DISABLE STATUS if necessary.

o    You can turn any Rocketboost sender or sender/receiver into a hub by using the HUB STATUS or HUB ENABLE switch on the device. The network can only have one hub.

o    The hub device must have power for the Rocketboost network to operate. The hub can be in standby (power-saving mode), but must remain plugged in.

    • Make sure the devices are in range of the hub. The unobstructed operating range of most Rocketboost networks is 150 feet (45 meters). The unobstructed operating range for the Rocketboost Wireless Headphones is 115 feet (35 meters).

    • Make sure that the AC adapter is connected to the docking station.

    • Make sure that the headphone batteries are installed correctly.

    • Make sure the headphone batteries are charged.

    • The headphone and docking station power indicators turn on after the headphone switch is set to ON and the POWER button on the docking station is pressed.

o    If they are lit solidly, a communication link has been successfully established.

o    If they are blinking blue or green on one or both devices, see Question 3 on page 2 or Question 4 on page 3 for steps on establishing a connection.
