Rocketfish RF-TVMLPT03 Mount Question

I have a Rocketfish RF-TVMLPT03 TV mount installed in my living room that is rated to support a TV weighing up to 130 lbs, and it has worked well for the past 2 years as a mount for my Vizio M65-E0 (55.33 lbs.)

I just bought a new Vizio PX75-G1 (78.59 lbs) and thought I would continue using the Rocketfish mount, but I noticed that the specifications add, in addition to the weight limit, that the mount is suitable for TVs up to 70".

My new Vizio is well within the weight limit of the Rocketfish mount, but is 5" larger than the maximum size specification. I would think that weight would be the overriding consideration here, but now I'm not sure. Will this mount work with a 75" TV or not?

Thank you for your help!

Re: Rocketfish RF-TVMLPT03 Mount Question

Hello,TheDauterive,

Thanks for joining us at the Insignia community, and congratulations on that new television. That's an awesome set.

I would not use a mount on a television with a mount that is not rated for it. A larger television may require a larger mount in terms or area to hold it safely. A mount that is too small may cause damage to the television. I'd suggest upgrading to a larger mount such as the RF-HTLF23.
