Hello,
I recently purchased a rocketfish hdmi splitter for my new Vizio 4k TV. I am trying to use the input of a 4k Xfinity cable box and output to the 4k Vizio and to a 1080 Toshiba. I switched the resolution of the cable box to 1080 for both TVs to work. The splitter works fine with both TVs on but when I turn one TV off, the other TV loses service to the cable box for some reason. I've tried to turn off the CEC of the Vizio and the HDMI control on the Toshiba but no luck. In other words It seems like I have to have both TVs on for this to work which was not the case with my last TV.
Is it possible for me to be able to have one TV on with cable and the other TV off?
I would appreciate input from anyone!
Thanks!

Hello orioles6,
I’m a huge fan of using an HDMI switcher, and currently use one on my Sharp TV! I've also used them on the past to operate a few smaller Vizio's as well. Can you please share which model of the Rocketfish Switcher you’re using? Please also include how you have everything connected. I’d be happy to see what troubleshooting recommendations we can make at this time.

Hello orioles6,
Thanks for confirming the model number. While reviewing the reviews on this item I can see that some customer’s that have a Vizio TV may be experiencing the same thing. Have you called Vizio to discuss the issue you’re seeing? They may be able to make a better recommendation that I would looking through the manuals. You’re welcome to review the reviews of this product here.
Additionally, our Rocketfish team over the phone at 1-800-620-2790 would also be happy to do some advanced troubleshooting with you too.
