Rocketfish 4K hdmi switch leave on 24/7

Would it harm the Rocketfish hdmi 4K Switcher if left on 24/7 or should it be powered down when not in use?

Is your device powered by an AC adapter or drawing power from the HDMI port? I would assume it is like a laptop where no harm done leaving it plugged in all the time. All it would be doing is drawing energy so the choice is yours to keep it powered on or off.

It’s on an ac adapter. Just wondering if it would burn it out.

The safe answer here is to tell you to turn it off when not in use.

 

Just my opinion but I doubt if it would burn out. 

 

I have several devices plugged in 24/7 and have been so for years.  

 

The switch probably does not draw significant current when there are not powered sources. 

 

I have a Rocketfish wifi for rear speakers and it is on all the time.
