Hi I purchased the RF-ahd25 hard drive enclosure. I was under the impression that the AC adapter was only needed when connecting to eSata and if you connected using USB instead of eSata that it would draw it's power from the USB port. It appears that I was wrong since the only way my laptop will detect it is if the AC adapter is pluged in. My question is the following can I connect it using a USB duel power Y connector (link bellow) instead of USB and AC adapter.?
