I'm using this kit to power by left and right surround speakers, and that's it. Surround sound wires are connected properly, everything looks good. When I power the sender on, it looks good. When the receiver is powered on, the blue surround light on the power button flashes on, as does the blue Source light, but they both go out quickly and then only the red standby light flashes red, at a fast pace. The source light and the blue Power/Join indicator do not light up, either flashing or steady, anymore. The Hub/sender shows a steady green Power/Join indicator, but the receiver only blinks red from the standby button. I have the surround system sending a test sound to each of the rear surround speakers, but no sound.
I've read and reread the instructions, I've shut off my home wireless and my home cordless phone systems, separately, to try to determine if one of them was creating a problem. The sender and receiver are 15 feet away from each other and within line of sight. What in the world??? What's wrong with this picture? I just took them out of the box less than 3 hours ago??

Does anybody with answers man these boards? I'm about ready to return this garbage for a refund...

Hello sshaff1874,
Sorry for the delay in my response. Do you have the "Hub Mode" switch set to enabled on the back of the sending unit?

Hello baghi,
Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!
I would suggest trying to do a power reset. Unplug the receiver from power, and while it's unplugged hold down the power button for around 30+ seconds. Then release, plug back into power, and see if the LED lights solid like usual. If so you should be back in business, if not the unit would seem to have a fault that would need review for repair/replacement.

I'm having a similar situation. The sender unit was working fine a few days ago. I unplugged it to move it and when I plugged it back in it started acting weird (won't go into pair mode and turns itself off). I called customer support and the guy on the other end flat out told me to go buy another one on ebay or amazon. He didn't even bother to try to troubleshoot. This will be the last rocketfish product i EVER buy because this was expensive and it should last longer than 2 years.

Hello theoden144,
Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!
I'm sorry for the lack of interaction from the phone agent. Have you tried the power reset that I explained above? Sometimes the units can develop a static buildup that confuses it, and in that case doing that reset can clear that and possibly get the unit back in working order?
Regards,
Jon

Yes. It seems the power button has become unresponsive.

Hello theoden144,
Thank you for responding!
So when you say it's become unresponsive, after the reset when you plug the unit back in, the red indicator light comes on, and the power button doesn't cause any change to it?

Jon
