RF-G1185 Switches to incorrect port when turning TV on

I installed the RF-G1185 and all the connections work in terms of transmitting data and the like to the TV.  My issue is that when I turn the TV on, the RF-G1185 also turns on and the BluRay Player also turns on at the same time.  When the BluRay Player turns on it takes control of the ports and the TV switches as being the device displayed to the BluRay....until I find the remote and press port 1 and then all is good with the world....BUT.....this is annoying and the last thing I need in this world is another remote that I have to stack on the table and remember to use.  How do I prevent this hijacking on startup?

Re: RF-G1185 Switches to incorrect port when turning TV on

Hello and welcome, TomMooney,

I can see why it may be frustrating to have to manually adjust the device that you wish to stream to your TV each time you power on your home theater system.  Upon reviewing the specifications of this product, it appears the automatic HDMI port switching is not a feature that can be disabled.

Whenever a compatible product is connected to your Rocketfish HDMI switcher and it is powered on, the switcher should automatically switch to that input.  If another input is selected than the one you desired, you would need to use the included remote to change the input.  Realistically, the only workaround would be to power on your devices in the order you wish them to transmit to your TV: the last one to be powered on would be the one that stays on-screen.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may create for you.
