I just bought a 4-Port HDMI Selector and it is not working as advertised. I have it plugged into my Samsung Smart TV. Then I have and Xbox One, PS4 and Cox Communications Scientific Atlanta cable box plugged into the RF-G1185.
1. It is not auto powering on and off with my tv.
2. It does not automatically switch to the source that is on.
3. Sound goes out and in when using my PS4
I have tried switching ports for all devices, turning it on and off, turning all my devices and my tv on and off and unplugging everything and waiting 1 minute before plugging them back in.
So far the main reasons I went with this switch over others, auto power/ switching, are not working at all. Any suggestions before I return it?

Hello AW13,
Welcome to the Rocketfish Community!
According to the information available to me, the power for this device is manually controlled and is not designed to power on/off with the TV.
The device should switch HDMI ports automatically as long as it has been turned on first, then your TV, then the HDMI device you wish to use.
As a troubleshooting step, try adjusting the audio output on your PS4.
Regards,
John
