Hello garbmutt,
I would advise trying different HDMI cables as well as taking the RF-G1182 to the place of purchase to obtain warranty service. After the unit has been repaired or replaced, let me know if you are still experiencing the same issue.

Hello robin,
Thank you for responding!
Try switching the TV1 to the TV2 position, and vice versa. This is most likely not so much a case of CEC, but more likely HDCP. The source device does a HDCP handshake with the primary device, when that device then turns off the source no longer wants to send the programming. See if swapping them makes any noticeable difference.

I have a similar problem that is still persistent even between switching output 1 and ouput 2. When initially turned on, my main TV has sound for a moment but no picture and then after a few seconds, it loses sound as well. When the other TV is turned on, the picture and sound comes on for both TVs. I can then turn off the second TV to watch my main without issue until the system is turned off and then on again when I must go through the same routine. How can I avoid this issue? My main TV is a 65" Samsung (2012) and my other connected TV is a 32" Samsung (2014). Any help would be appriciated.

Hello RF2014,
Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!
Try resetting the HDCP connections. Power down the complete system. Once shut down, completely disconnect the HDMI cords from each end, of all devices. Once everything is disconnected, starting at the Source, reconnect the Source to the Splitter, and the splitter to the TV's, Primary TV first. Once all the HDMI cords are connected, starting back at the Source, power it on first. Once the Source device is powered up, plug in the splitter, and a few seconds after it's powered up turn on the Primary TV first. Once the Primary TV is powered up, and showing full signal, then power on the Secondary TV. See if that then allows the Primary to be on, even when the Secondary is turned off.

Unfortunately, this still did not work. i tried various combinations as well to try to get it to work. I can get a signal with only one output plugged into the splitter but the minute the other is present, the signal is lost until both products are powered up. Once powered up, I can turn off the second TV and watch the first by itself...very frustrating to have to do this all the time. Any other ideas?

Hello RF2014,
Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!
At this point, I do not. It sounds like the High Definition Copyright Protection is linking and cross referencing between the 2 TV's and the source rather strangely. What are you using for your source device?

The source is a Denon AVR-1912 receiver.

Hello RF2014,
Thank you for responding!
Have you tried going from one of the actual Source devices to the Splitter to see if you have the same issue without the Home Theatre receiver in between?

Jon
