Mobile Bluetooth Speaker (SPX15) - Not Working

Hello,

 

About 3 weeks ago I purchased the bluetooth speaker (SPX15) at an Army charity even supported by Best Buy. Two days ago I finally opened the box and set the speaker to charge, since  the instructions said it needed to for 4 hours before use. When I checked it later, it was not powering on, or have indicator lights. After doing some research it seems like there should have been a light in the front part of it but mine is not lit at all. I tried 3 different outlets, checked the cable and it seems to work since it charges, works with other devices i tried using it with. My conclusion after the different tests is that my speaker was DOA. My problem now is that I don't have a receipt, I don't have the box... and i have this bluetooth speaker that doesn't work at all. 

 

What are my options?

 

p.s. I also picked up a Rocketfish Atmos Noice Cancelling Headphones and those work great.  I use them to study... just had bad luck with the bluetooth speaker.

If the indicator lights are not lighting up, that does imply there is a fault within the unit. Due to the lack of receipt, we do not have our normal warranty options. Because the last of these units were sold late 2012, without a receipt this is not something we would be able to assist on.

Ok, sounds like theres nothing you or I can do about it. Do you have instructions that could help me open the speaker? Maybe i can recycle something out of it.

 

If not you might as well tell me to toss it in the trash and not buy from RF again.

I do not have any sort of service manual, so unfortunately I will not be of assistance in how to dis-assemble.
