Help - Micro Bluetooth Adapter

Hi,

I install my Bluetooth Adapter, and everything was going well, after restarting a computer, I've got Bluetooth icon in taskbar but

when I tried to press "Show Bluetooh Devices" or "Open Setting" nothing happened. When I press "Add a Device" it took forever

and never show anything. Can you help me to solve this problem because I'm not able to use Bluetooth devices (earphones

with microphone)?

My OS is Windows 7 x86.

Re: Help - Micro Bluetooth Adapter

Having the same problem. Installed software multiple times. Icons shows up on desktop but will not open. I have tried everything.. My model number is RF-MRBTAD  13A18A. Running windows 7. would like to connect to Bose bluetooth speaker.  I will probably return software and not recommend it

Re: Help - Micro Bluetooth Adapter

Hello topbanana,

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble getting the software to work properly on your computer.  Does your computer have any Bluetooth software pre-installed?  If so make sure to uninstall all Bluetooth software completely before reinstalling the Bluetooth software.  The RF-MRBTAD uses the standard Broadcom Bluetooth software for Windows.  I would have you download and install it from the website to ensure the most up to date version.   You can also allow Windows to try and find its own drivers and software to install.

Re: Help - Micro Bluetooth Adapter

Hello jarko,

The Rocketfish model number will start with an 'RF-'.  I would imagine it is the RF-MRBTAD.  Start by uninstalling the Bluetooth Adapter and Software.  If you have any preinstalled Bluetooth software or a built-in adapter make sure they are uninstalled and disabled.  After restarting the computer, put the CD in or install the software from the website and put in the adapter when prompted.  Make sure you are on the Admin account on your computer while installing the software.  Let me know if you have any problems and any specific error messages.

Re: Help - Micro Bluetooth Adapter

I have the same USB micro adapter and have followed the steps noted here over and over without any success with this device at any point and would love to return it if it weren't so cheap to start with and I waited too long to do anything.

You get what you pay for and this unit is not even worth the small amount I paid for it.

Re: Help - Micro Bluetooth Adapter

Hello CrazyMac9,

Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!

When you plug the adapter in, does it show a Bluetooth icon in the taskbar down by your clock? If not, does it give you any notifications when it's connected?

Re: Help - Micro Bluetooth Adapter

No, the machine does not recognize it as a bluetooth device, doesn't even know it's there seemingly ... never has.

Re: Help - Micro Bluetooth Adapter

Hello CrazyMac9,

Thank you for responding!

When connecting the adapter to the computer, do you get the USB device connected chime, and do you get any pop up notifications by the clock on your desktop? If not, have you tried the adapter on a different computer to see if a separate machine recognizes it?
