Hello copperfist,

Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!

Do you have a phone charger plugged into the unit? If not it may be receiving enough power to make the connection, but not to retain it.

Any thing at all? Without a network connection it defeats the purpose of hooking my phone up to my t.v.

Re: Galaxy s3 & rf-g1171 mhl adapter

Hello copperfist,

Thank you for responding!

At this point, I'm seeing multiple posts online about various Galaxy S3 users running into this with different MHL adapters. I'm assuming that you are using the Samsung adapter tip that came with the RF-G1171 that should change the MHL connection from the 5 pin to the Samsung 11 pin?

Re: Galaxy s3 & rf-g1171 mhl adapter

Hello copperfist,

Thank you for responding!

I tried the same adapter with my Galaxy S4 in our product lab, and I wasnt able to see anything like what you're seeing. The only info I'm seeing regarding the issue, is on the S3's, so at this time I would refer you to contact Samsung to see if this is a known issue with the S3 that they may have a fix or alternative for.
