I currently have an HDMI selector model RF-G1185 that has 3 devices hooked up to it: 1-PS4, 2-PS3, 3-My Laptop. My TV has 2 HDMI ports: 1-the HDMI selector, 2-DirecTV. The DirecTV line goes to 2 seperate TV's and the HDMI is split by a rocketfish splitter model RF-G1182. One line goes to my living room and the second comes into my room and plugs into my TV. The strange/anoying thing is that if I am in my room playing my PS4 and someone is in the living room watching DirecTV and then turns the reciever off my HDMI selector will also shut off. At first I had the DirecTV plugged into the switcher and thought that would be the problem so I direct wired it to the TV and am still having the issue. Does anyone have any idea why?

This is most likely an issue with the CEC function of the TV. Each manufacturer has a different name for this function. You'll want to turn this off and that should stop the TV from turning it off.
