Whenever products go on backorder it generally means that not only do our local warehouses not have them in stock, but that additional shipments have not yet been received from their respective manufacturers. In these cases, we are unfortunately at the manufacturer’s mercy in terms of how quickly we can make these products available again.
On the bright side, there is something that your friend can do to help you out. If the iPod was purchased through BestBuy.com, James may always contact our online support staff for an estimated date of arrival. Please keep in mind though that he will need to contact Best Buy® himself if he was the one who placed the order, since we are unable to provide any information regarding purchases to anyone other than the original purchaser. Additionally, remember that any dates provided are only estimate, and that delays in shipping may result in slightly later delivery.
