Water Damage

I accidentally washed my ipod nano 4th generation. i thought it was trashed but just in case i let it sit for a week. Then i tried to turn it on and it wouldnt turn on. i then thought it might be dead so i plugged it in. When i plugged it in the connected screen came up and it showed that it was charging. I let it charge for a while then took it off and it still will not turn on. Can it be fixed?

You're better off just buying a new one as to repair would cost about the same.
