Move Music Library, I-Tunes/Ipod.

I bought a new computer b/c my old one crashed.  I had the geek squad back up my old computer on my new one.  I have the file of music and can play that music within the windows media player, but I cant figure out how to load the music into I-Tues.  Any suggestions?

Re: Move Music Library, I-Tunes/Ipod.

Hello doddsm,

There are a couple of ways to get your music file into iTunes.  If you’ve already copied it to your new computer, you can open iTunes and drag the folder from Windows Explorer into the iTunes Music Library Window.  It will add all of the files from their present location.  If you want the files to be in iTunes’ default music folder, you can copy the folder there instead, then drag and drop from Explorer as I mentioned.  To find your iTunes folder, open Preferences from the Edit menu and click the Advanced tab.  The iTunes folder directory is the first thing listed.
I hope this helps.
