Ipod Touch

I've had my Ipod Touch 16gb for about a year now and recnetly it is starting to act up. Atleast twice a day it will freeze up and I have to reboot it which takes forever. If I charge the battery for atleast 2 hours every day, it will only last 2 hours. It has been very slow recently too. I've had friends come to my house that connect to my internet and their ipod is very fast. A friend and I can be doing the same thing on the same internet and his will load right away and mine will just sit there for a while. Also, with the new 2.2 update, it says it fixed the problems with the push technology in mail. It did the exact opposite for me because if I have it in sleep mode for about 5 minutes, I can turn it back on and it wont be connected to the internet. How am i suposed to get mail if i'm not connected to the Internet? When I take it out of sleep mode and try to check my mail or go to the App store right away, i have to sit there for about 10 seconds and wait for it to connect. Can anyone tell me what to do? I've restored it twice but that just made it worse. I have a serivce warranty but I'm affraid that if I take it in they'll tell me they have to send it somewhere for a week. Is this something that can be fixed at the store on the first visit? Please, I can't stand how horribly it's been working recently.

Re: Ipod Touch

Restoring it shouldn't make it worse..Odd...Anyways, you could always do what I did, go on your iPod Touch --> Settings --> General --> Reset --> Reset all settings. It should pop up with a message saying it should take about an hour, which it normally does, and then click O.K. Then after that is done, you should be good to go.

Re: Ipod Touch

im looking to buy an ipod touch (tomarrow) and theres  a sale i found online, the 16gb is the same price as the 8gb. I want to know if that sale is in stores also? i do not want to wait a weeks for the delivery, i would much rather have it when i buy it.

Re: Ipod Touch

Emily1212, Hope you didn't take your information to the nearest store that had stock according to BestBuy.com.  We did and we were told even though they had 5 units physically in the store that they could not sell one to me until the next day because they had a sales flyer coming out then and had to reserve stock for that sale.  I've never heard of a retailer turning down a sale that is standing right in front of his face!
