Did you get headphones or a portable speaker as a gift over the holidays? Post your review here!

Now that the holiday's are closed out, everyone hopefully got everything on their wish list by now. Did you get what you were hoping for? If you got a new pair of headphones like the Powerbeats I got my boyfriend, or perhaps your grandpa got you the ole' reliable Insignia Rugged Portable Speaker, we want to hear about it! How do you like your new gifts? If you got one of these as a gift for someone else, how'd they like it?

I got a Razor Nari for myself.

I find ear buds to be very uncomfortable after awhile.

My Laptop supports Dolby Atmos and teh Nari does also, well they refer to it as THX Spatial Audio.  And it is a sound power house.

I use it also to stream content from Netflix and the sound just blows me away.  As a glasses wearer I normally find headsets to be painful after a hour or two.  So I watched a DYI and it showed someone buying spare pads and cutting a channel out of them.  I had settled on 3 different models.  I contacted Razor and asked if they sold spare pads and why I wanted them.  The response was that the Nari has channels built in you just cannot see them. Sure as heck they do. I can now watch movies or game for hours wihtout pain.

My daugher has had a series of blue tooth speakers and I personaly found them all lacking.

Last Christmas I got her a Bose Soundlink Speaker II

I cannot believe the sound quality coming out of a single speaker.

When I have to work from a remote location I take it with me and I love it.

Strongly recommend the Bose Soundlink II

Final comment I promise.

Also for Christmas I wanted to get a home system so we could play music in the house.  I had looked strongly at the various offerings from Amazon Alexa and Google Home that Best Buy carries.

However, I went into my local Magnolia store to check them out and found the sound quality to be lacking.  The Best Buy associate that was helping me quried me on how I intended on using them and took me straight to the Sonos Speaker system.

Simply ground breaking system.  I now have of the Sonos spread around the family room and it is filled with good quality sound.

It really depends on the person you are gifting it with. Some may like headphones and some may like portable speaker. But I think most of the people would prefer the portable speaker specially the higher end ones.
