I purchased a Samsung tablet on 1/31/19. I used my BB card and chose the 6% discount option. In the past, I was always charged the discounted price on my statement.
However, I didn't know you changed your policy and if I had known I would not use my BB card. It was only AFTER the sale that I was told that I would receive a $10 certificate. Also, I did not know at the time it had a very short expiration date.
After many futile phone calls to BB, no one could give me information about rewards and then would transfer me to a department that never answered the phone.
The first time I tried to locate my rewards on my page, I went though a certain process to access the information
and found out It I had 0 points.
On the second attempt at a later date I tried to find information, however, the process changed this time.
When I finally found the location, it said I needed a minimum of 500 points to get the $10 certificate.
I was very frustrated to see I only received 499 points or $5.
Why was I given misleading information at time of purchase? Why was I conveniently given 1 point less than I needed?
I am very disappointed in BB. This whole experience was extremely time consuming and frustrating.
Bottom Line: Before taxes the tablet cost $199.99. A 6% discount should have been $11.99. And yet I was only offered a $5 certificate that was expiring in 2 weeks. I feel as if I were deceived.

Thanks for joining the Best Buy Community forums, and for having a My Best Buy Credit Card. That credit card is an awesome way to earn My Best Buy rewards.
It does not, however, give a direct discount to your current purchase. You can find a breakdown of how may points you can earn here, based on your use of the My Best Buy Credit Card and your My Best Buy membership level. This isn't a policy change, and it has worked this way for years.
I'd be happy to double-check your membership level to see if you were given the correct points for this purchase. Please send me a private message by using the link in my signature below this post. I'll need your name, email address, phone number, and the customer service PIN.
