i bought a laptop yesterday from our local best buy store, gave my phone number to look up my account and verified the information. it was correct on the screen except for the email. it was my old email. it always shows my old email and i havent had an issue before, but when i logged in on my best buy the purchase does not show, and when i checked my receipt, it shows a different best buy rewards number than what is registered on my account. help.

Welcome to the Best Buy forum.
It sounds like to me that you may have more than one rewards account, which is a pretty easy fix. All we would need to do is merge any rewards account in your name. I utilized the merge option a few years ago when I ended up with three rewards accounts at one time. It can be difficult to keep track of purchases and points if they are not all on one rewards account. Any active points or certificates in the secondary rewards account would transfer over to the primary rewards account following the merge. thank you. i ended up calling the best buy number and a very nice representative helped me. I dont know how i ended up with a new best buy rewards number but I did. that was the issue. the rep helped me merge my accounts so all is well. thanks again.
