Where is the My Best Buy™ spending bar?

[ Edited ]

As you may have noticed, the bar in your rewards account that displays how much you have spent for the 2018 calendar year is missing.  It has been temporarily removed from BestBuy.com as our My Best Buy™ team starts to reset each member’s total to $0 for the new 2019 calendar year.  This is a form of program maintenance that we perform each year.  As of now, it is expected that the spending bar will be back up within a week or two.  Here are a few things to consider in the meantime:

  • It can take up to 20 days for an eligible purchase to reflect within a member’s spending total

  • Any purchases with points that are currently pending are not likely reflected

  • It can take up to 20 days after spending the required amounts (Elite - $1,500 & Elite Plus - $3,500) for a member’s status to be upgraded

  • Any eligible purchase made in 2018 should count towards the spend total for 2018 even if points for a purchase are still pending with the start of the new 2019 calendar year
  • Sales tax and any portion of a purchase paid for with a gift card or certificate are excluded

  • Go by the pre-tax totals displayed in your rewards history when adding up your purchases rather than the full purchase totals displayed in your purchase history

  • If a purchase is missing from your rewards account, then you can report it on BestBuy.com. Click here.

  • If you have any questions about your spend total for the 2018 calendar year, then please feel free to send a private message here. Make sure to include your name, phone #, and email address.
