Unexpected error when reporting missing points

I had made several purchases over a couple weeks and noticed one of the purchases I made wasn't showing up on my points history.  I had made purchases before and after this one and they all showed up in my pending rewards so I went to the report missing points to get it added.  When I did this it gave me the message "An unexpected error occurred."  What information is needed to get this issue resolved?

Good afternoon, EmotionalCorn,

 

The points from single purchase could be what stands between a member and their next certificate, so it's understandable wanting to make sure each purchase is properly attached to your rewards account, and how a purchase not displayed in your rewards history may leave you to believe it isn't attached.  Did you login to your BestBuy.com account before the order in-question was placed?  If so, then it should be attached to your rewards account, which is why you are getting an error when trying to report it as "missing."  It might just be that some sort of system error is preventing the purchase from being displayed in your rewards account.

 

It can generally take up to 20 days for points from an eligible purchase to officially post to a member's rewards account.  I'd keep an eye on your current points balance, and if after a full 20 days you feel points for the purchase that isn't currently displayed still haven't posted, then please send me a private message with the details listed below and I'll take a closer look at your rewards account.  I can double check our back-end system where points are housed to make sure points have in-fact been awarded.  A private message can be sent by first logging into the forum and then clicking on the blue button found in my signature.

Thanks for the response.  I still don't see the points in my history but it hasn't been the alotted 20 days you mentioned.  I'll be sure to reach out to you again if I don't see it by that time.
