Trade in mailer with products I purchased printed on it. Angry and dissatisfied.

Today I received the single creepiest piece of marketing I've ever seen, and it was from best buy. It was suggesting I should trade in my technology, and it had pictures of things I had actually bought, and my name printed in large letters on it. It felt like an invasion of privacy, and a misuse of my best buy account. I was repulsed by this bizarre and invasive marketing attempt.

To make matters worse I cannot opt out of physical mail communications through the website. So I contacted best buy social media support who told me to go to the website to opt out, which is NOT POSSIBLE. Then I called customer service which had no option in the automated phone tree for what I was calling about, and the message threatened to hang up on me if I didn't pick one of the irrelevant answers.

Once I finally got through to a person they had to put me on hold for several minutes to try and opt me out of mailings.

All in all it wasted my time, angered and disgusted me, and made me not want to buy things using my best buy account. Next time I should shop somewhere else or check out without using my account to avoid this bizarre targeted marketing.

I hope this reaches someone at best buy who cares. Thank you.
