Rewards used to pay for curbside pick up order

I used a rewards certificate to pay for a curbside pick up order that was canceled in the store because the order wasn’t showing up in their queue. The store told me that I would have to call to have the rewards department to have it applied to my Best Buy credit card after the points were refunded. I called to do this today and was told this isn’t policy or possible. To first have my curbside order lost in the process and then to not be able to apply the points to the purchase makes me not want to use this card or the rewards program again.

Welcome to our community forums. As a My Best Buy member myself, I know that I want to make sure I can take advantage of every point and certificate possible. I'd be happy to provide some more details on what happens to these certificates in the event an order is cancelled or returned.


Generally, these points will be added back to your My Best Buy automatically three days after your order has been cancelled or refunded. This process wouldn't require or involve your My Best Buy credit card so you shouldn't need to contact us for this process to begin.


Do you recall how long ago this order was cancelled? Please let me know if it's been longer than three days, I would be glad to review your account in closer detail.
