Hi, I had a $10 reward certificate in my bestbuy account and I used it to purchase an item from Bestbuy a few weeks ago on 11/22/18. During the checkout process I applied the $10 reward certificate, however, upon reviewing my recent credit card statement, I noticed that I was still charged full price for the item. I called customer service today, who was extremely rude and told me straight up that I did not apply the reward certificate. The fact is I did apply the certificate and my balance during the check out process reflected that. I would not have made that purchase if it was not applied. I don't understand how Bestbuy could not see that I applied this certificate. Is this a system issue? The reward certificate was not expired at all when I applied it for my purchase. Am I the only one who is experiencing this issue?

Welcome to the forum and thank you for reaching out to us! Seeing your credit card was charged more than you anticipated because you expected a My Best Buy reward certificate to be applied would be frustrating to say the least. While rare, there are instances where the system glitches, leaving your certificate unapplied to the purchase but reflecting as redeemed.
I would be happy to take a look at exactly what happened in your case, so I am sending you a private message. You may check your private messages by signing into the forum then clicking the envelope icon in the top right corner of the page.
