Reward Certificate MemberId not matching after new account signup

Hi - I made a purchase in a best buy store. I had given my email id and phone number at the time of purchase and got a rewards certificate via email. To use that i had to signup for a best buy accont but when after signing up i got issued a new memberId that does not match with the one in the email rewards certificate. I have another receipt to report missing points and that does not work either. I tried following https://www.bestbuy.com/site/help-topics/problems-with-your-my-best-buy-account/pcmcat204400050059.c..., but does not show an option to fix my memberId on my profile page
