Reward Certificate Issuance and expiration

Just logged in to my Best Buy account to find a reward certificate I was expecting only to find out that it expired 3 days ago! I missed the best buy email tell ing me that it issued. Also saw, another expired reward certificate that expired the end of January! Thinking I could get these unused certificates credited back to my rewards account. Wrong again, I read that once they are expired they are worthless! I have spent about $4000 in the past 9 months at Best Buy, and both of my rewards certificates expired. I am unhappy with this rewards program that is notuser friendly with all the rules and inflexibility.

I thank you for reaching out to us in reference to your rewards certificate expiring. Whether you're a new member or a seasoned veteran, it's not uncommon to have certificates expire and lose track of them. And with reminder emails not being guaranteed it can be hard to follow up.

 

As a reminder, certificates are set to expire 60 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise noted. The only exceptions may apply to promotional certificates. Also, expired certificates are generally unable to be reissued.
