Reclaiming a $60 certificate?

Hello, I'm in a bit of a mess currently.

My mother recently got a $60 gift certificate and we decided to not let it go to waste. 
After purchasing the two items we wanted I got an email a few hours later saying that the order was on hold because it couldn't verify the purchase.
I tried multiple times to update the payment information but the site wouldn't take it. I looked around and saw that people got passed this by cancelling the order and starting over from scratch. I did so but I've lost the $60 certificate. anyway I can get that back and try this order again with the correct card information? 

I am already left frustrated that the previous card didn't work for some reason.

If you cancel the order then the certificate will go back to the account, eventually. Honestly I've seen some go back instantly and some can take a few days. The moderators will be able to check, but they can take a few days to reach a post - if it's time sensitive you may want to contact the 1-888-237-8289 number and see if they can tell you what's going on. Otherwise I'd sit tight and wait for a moderator to work through to your post and hopefully they can give you a more definitive timeline.

Welcome to the forum! It's wonderful to hear you and your mother had a $60 My Best Buy certificate to redeem, though I'm sorry to hear the redemption process didn't go as expected. Ordering online should be a simple and pleasant experience, so I'm disheartened you ultimately cancelled your order. 

Reward certificates should be returned in the form of points in 3-6 business days, though most customers can see them credited back in a day or so. As you mentioned this was your mother's membership though, she would need to reach out directly under a forum account of her own if she does not see these points credited. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding. 

Also, please keep in mind that memberships are intended for individual use per our My Best Buy program terms
