Re: Rewards Expire

I didnt see it mentioned but if you care about your points make sure you turn auto issuing "OFF" by default your account is set to automatically issue your certificates every 250 points. This is because BB wants you to be forced to come in the store and find something to spend it on because you know your time to use the points is running out. But if you have an elite or higher account you NEED to turn automatic issuing off. Bestbuy is the only company that I have ever seen that does this with their rewards points and its crazy.

Re: Rewards Expire

Hello silverdoggg,

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for reaching out to share your thoughts on banking! It is true that as a default setting, reward certificates are automatically issued once enough points are available for at least a $5 certificate. Should enough points be available for a larger certificate above this setting, the largest possible certificate would be issued. Our My Best Buy core members may adjust this setting, up to $20. Our Elite and Elite Plus members receive some higher certificate preferences, including the optional benefit of banking their points. As this is merely optional and not extended to all members, this would not be a default setting.

For more information, you may review our My Best Buy Terms. All members may also log into to review their certificate preference.
