This is not exactly true! I made a large purchase On February 2rd, in cash! Now Best Buy is saying no rewards even on February 2rd because I used cash! Their website clearly states "after February 14th". Was on the phone for three hours including corporate, waste of time. Been a rewards customer for many, many years, spend a lot of money there.
I'm so done with Best Buy, Not surprised they are in trouble and closing stores. I will never step foot in their store or purchase anything online from them again!!!

I'm not familiar with any previous exclusions of case purchases not earning points. There were some brands that did require the purchase to be made with a Best Buy Credit Card though, even before our recent changes. If you can please send me a private message with your full name, phone number, email address, and details on the purchase in question, I can review this to determine if points should have been applied and if so, ensure that they are. I can't speak to what the sales person told you (and I am not saying they did not tell you that you would get points - these threads are full of employees in stores providing misinformaiton), but the My Best Buy Terms and Conditions were updated back in October 2019 (I believe) to state that you only get points on Apple products if paid for with standard credit (no special fianancing) on a Best Buy credit card.

Based on what you mentioned your purchase was, wkkunkle is likely correct, as we did have it in the terms that Apple products would only receive points if purchased with our Best Buy Credit Card, using standard credit.
