If you’re logged on from your App when you’re trying to log on via your desktop, this could in some cases cause this issue. I would recommend starting by ensuring you’re logged out of BestBuy.com from any other devices before you try to log on with a different device. The solution you gave did not work but I found the issue.
For all other who are having similar issues, please make sure that you turn off any adblocking service, I was using SmartThings Hub ad blocking service and once I disabled the same, best buy stopped asking for password reset and i was able to login to the same.
