I've had a similar experience. A few weeks ago, I tried to purchase a lap desk using in part a $30 reward certificate, but apparently I forgot to click the confirm purchase button. A few days later when I checked order status, I saw it had never been placed — but my reward certificate had then expired, so I couldn't reorder.
Are there any options for recovering this? I have a $5 certificate that's about to expire, and I'd like to use them together. I once called the Best Buy Rewards customer service number but had to leave a message, and no one returned my call. It's frustrating to me that the rewards expire so soon after receiving them: it feels they are designed to make the reward points less useable. I feel the $30 certificate expired in less than 60 days.
Thank you so much!

Welcome to our community. Considering the amount of online shopping I do, I'm surprised I haven't done this more often! There have definitely been times when I've forgotten to place an order, though, and I'm left scrambling to find a way to make sure my items arrive in time. I'm sure it wasn't a great feeling to notice that your reward certificate had expired in the interim, too.
Our My Best Buy™ terms state that reward certificates typically have 60 days to be redeemed from the date they're issued unless otherwise noted. Promotional certificates, on the other hand, often expire sooner than that and would have their expiration date noted on them as well. We also try to keep our customers in the loop on any certificates that have been issued by sending automated emails with their respective expiration dates. Because some emails may be overlooked, filtered, or blocked altogether, it's best to track your membership from BestBuy.com. Once a certificate has expired, we’d generally be unable to reissue it.
That said, I'd like to review your account in more detail to make sure everything looks right. Please keep an eye out for a private message heading your way shortly, which you can view by selecting the orange envelope at the top of the page.
Thanks for posting,
