I find this post very interesting. I purchased a stove in person back in June. The rep sold me on opening a best buy credit card as he knew I was interested in making another purchase within the next few months. When I opened my card I was under the impression that this $90 certificate would be good for 6 months which is why I agreed to open the credit card. Fast forward. No email or notification that there was an expiration date or nothing saying that expiration was coming up. Then in November I logged on to Best Buy to make a purchase and the certificate was gone! I initiated the online chat and was basically told I'm out of luck. They basically told me that there is nothing that they can do to help me. Which is sad considering I was going to make some big purchases but will most likely choose to support a local store especially during this time. I did file a complaint with the FTC ({removed per forum guidelines}) and BBB ({removed per forum guidelines}).

Hi, LoyalCustomer04, and welcome to our online community!
Thanks for reaching back out to us on our forum. I hate to hear you missed out on a reward certificate, and I'm happy to share details surrounding what might have happened with this.
Once a certificate has been issued, it is usually valid for 60 days unless otherwise noted on the certificate itself. We typically cannot reissue certificates once they've expired, either. That said, I'd be happy to review your account and provide any further assistance that I can.
To start, please send me a private message including your full name, email, and phone number. You can find the blue option to message me to the right of my name below.

Someone from your office called in regards to my complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They have issued me the certificate and it has now been resolved.
