Good, I also have to figure out how my account got my wife's name on it... Like what is happening here? The account was opened when I signed up for a best buy credit card in the store so all can figure is I filled out the application, got approved, then not long after she makes a return for me her name is the account name so I can only imagine the nightmare that's going to be getting fixed. I read the support post about it and it seems like something they are against doing

Having same issue.  Have had this on and off for like last two years and every time I open a support request I get treated like I'm an idiot who can't type (seriously, Best Buy's chat support has become absolutely terrible in recent years, the number of times I get told after a 30 minute chat I have to call in to actually get help is absurd). 


Yesterday was forced to reset my password. Today it says password is invalid. If i try to set it to the same password I set yesterday it says I can't reuse an old password (confirming it was set).  This keeps forcing me to keep changing my password which is actually a security problem (people forced to constantly change their password tend to set easier passwords to remember which is why NIST changed their recommnedation for password resets from 60 > 180 days). 

 

Today I went to log in on the app > had to change password. Then tried to immediately log into the website with same password and was told it was incorrect. Went to a different page in the app > got forced to sign in again > app pushes me directly into password reset flow again.

So now I literally can't log into Best Buy (or even navigate pages within my account) without a password reset every. single. time.

 

Best Buy needs to sort this issue out.  Having to reset my password every time I want to check on an order / checkout / view anything in my account is, to put it nicely, a completely broken login/authentication workflow.
